JotPsych Notes

Templates that match your format. Notes you edit by typing.

Most note software makes the clinician switch to its format. JotPsych starts from the format already in use, then changes any note from typed instructions.

Every practice already has a note format, shaped by habit or by what the payer accepts. Switching note software usually means giving that up and learning a new format instead.

JotPsych starts from the format already in the room. The public library holds 25+ pre-built behavioral health templates, organized by specialty and by CPT: psychiatric intake, medication management, individual therapy, therapy added to a medication visit, and more. A clinician browses the library, picks one, and it is ready to chart with.

A clinician who already has a format skips the library. Upload the note or document already in use, and JotPsych clones it into a template with the same sections. Building from a blank canvas works the same way, one section at a time.

The public library holds 25+ pre-built behavioral health templates, specialty and CPT-aligned. Every template lives in one of three scopes, and the scope decides who may change it. Source: JotPsych. Editing a public or org template does not change it for anyone else; it forks a personal copy, so one clinician's fix never breaks another's format.

The first edit to a library template creates a personal copy automatically. The original stays unchanged for the rest of the practice.

Edit by typing

Every generated note has an editor beside it. A clinician types what to change, in plain sentences, and JotPsych applies the change. Real examples from the product: make the HPI (History of Present Illness) shorter, change "pt" to "patient" everywhere, always bold medication changes in both the Medications and Plan sections.

Two years, then one call

Picture a group practice owner whose JotPsych trial keeps sitting inactive. Each time the note format doesn't match her practice's paperwork, she stops using it. On one customer support call, every formatting objection she raises gets fixed live. She activates the account that day.
