Suki, for a practice that keeps its EHR
Go with Suki if you'll keep your EHR. Suki's home page says Suki works with all major EHRs, with deep integrations into Epic, Oracle Health, athenahealth, and MEDITECH. Suki also runs in its own app, and its clinicians page lists a web app, a Chrome extension, and iOS and Android apps.
The clinicians page lists psychiatry among its specialties. Suki drafts the note from the conversation and sends it to the EHR. Suki generates ICD-10, CPT, and evaluation and management (E/M) codes, and stages orders from the conversation for you to review and approve. Suki's home and clinicians pages don't list e-prescribing, claim submission, or online booking.
JotPsych, for a practice that replaces its EHR
Go with JotPsych if you'll replace your EHR with one platform for visits, prescriptions, and claims. The follow-up visit type opens the medication management template, with 99214 and 90833 set before the visit starts, and you review both codes before you sign.
You send the prescription through DoseSpot, which opens in a new tab from the patient's chart. The patient is already selected. For a controlled prescription, you'll follow the authentication requested when you send it.
Before you sign, JotAudit checks the note against the codes billed. Your biller then checks each claim in JotBill and selects Submit claim. Patients also book online.
Map your steps after the note
Write down each step after you sign a follow-up note, and mark the system each step happens in. Count the steps outside your notes tool. Do the same for the JotPsych column. Compare the counts.
