With Freed you approve the note, and with JotPsych you also prescribe
In JotPsych, you sign the note and send the prescription through DoseSpot from the patient's chart. Your biller submits the claim in JotBill.

Freed, if your EHR stays and you want an AI scribe
Choose Freed if you're keeping your EHR and want the note written for you. Freed's Coding Assistant suggests ICD-10 and CPT codes.
Notes reach your EHR through Freed's Chrome extension, which works with any browser-based EHR, and Freed's FAQ names athenahealth, SimplePractice, Tebra, Elation, and DrChrono among them. You approve each note before it's saved. Freed's home page and FAQ list no e-prescribing or claim submission.
JotPsych, if you'd rather finish the visit where you sign
Choose JotPsych if you want the prescription and the claim in the same platform as the note. Set your follow-up visit type once. Every follow-up then opens the medication management template with 99214 and 90833 filled in, and you review those codes on the final-review panel before you sign.
Send the prescription through DoseSpot, which opens in a new tab from the patient's chart. The patient is already selected. You'll follow the authentication requested when you send a controlled prescription, and staff can enter any prescription first as pending work for you to review and send.
Your biller then checks the claim in JotBill and selects Submit claim.
Count the steps after sign-off
Run your next follow-up in Freed and your EHR. Next, run one in JotPsych. Count each step from sign-off to the pharmacy, and each system you open on the way.
Freed's FAQ, read October 3, 2026, says you approve each note before it's saved to your EHR, and neither that FAQ nor Freed's home page lists e-prescribing. With Freed, you open your EHR to prescribe after every note you approve.
