Eleos Health builds AI agents for community-based behavioral-health organizations: community mental health centers (CMHCs), substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programs, home health agencies, and hospice groups, many serving large Medicaid populations. Its Documentation agent drafts a clinical note from session audio. Its Compliance agent scans the finished note for missing elements and payer-rule gaps before sign-off. Its Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) agent checks insurance eligibility and flags claim errors before submission. Eleos reports that clinicians accept 80% of its documentation suggestions, and that those suggestions populate 70% of the resulting progress note.¹ The product installs as a browser extension on top of whichever electronic health record (EHR) the organization already runs; it does not replace that system.

JotPsych runs the same three jobs, notes, compliance checking, and claims, and adds the rest of what a behavioral-health practice needs to operate. JotRx, JotPsych's e-prescribing module, writes prescriptions in-product and supports electronic prescribing of controlled substances (EPCS) for Schedule II through V medications, the category covering stimulants and many psychiatric drugs, with the two-factor authentication the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) requires for controlled-substance prescribing. Patients book their own appointments through a public scheduling page, no front-desk call required. Telehealth visits run inside JotPsych itself, with no separate video tool to manage. JotBill submits insurance claims and scrubs them for structural errors, such as a missing telehealth modifier, before they reach the payer. JotCred collects credentialing documents (state license, DEA certificate, malpractice insurance, board certification, and more), extracts the data with AI, and routes a completed application package to an internal team that manages the payer applications. JotAudit goes a step past claim scrubbing: it checks whether the note itself supports the CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) code billed and whether the visit meets payer-specific documentation rules, catching the kind of gap that passes a structural check but still draws a denial or a clawback later.

Where Eleos genuinely fits

A CMHC running thirty clinicians across six sites on an entrenched EHR is not going to rip that system out for a scribe. Eleos's browser-extension model lets an organization like that add AI documentation and compliance checking without touching the underlying EHR, and its RCM agent is built for that scale of claim volume. Eleos also supports multilingual session capture, translating sessions into English documentation, a real strength for organizations serving non-English-speaking Medicaid populations.²

Where the gap shows up

The gap is what Eleos's own site does not mention: no e-prescribing, no scheduling, no telehealth, no credentialing. Eleos also sells only through a demo and a custom enterprise contract; it does not publish pricing.³ A solo psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) or a ten-clinician group cannot sign up and start today. If your practice prescribes, schedules patients, or bills insurance, and the tool you are evaluating only takes notes and checks them, you are buying the first third of the job. Eleos is a strong overlay for a large organization standardized on an incumbent EHR. JotPsych is the system underneath.
